Campion College's Software Engineering Club is a place to build real software with real teamwork.
During meetings
Meetings start with a short plan, followed by time to work on projects. Members ask questions, review each other’s code and agree on what to do next.
Work between meetings is optional. You can pick up a task or review a teammate’s changes when you have time.
How projects run
Choose a task
Join a project and break a feature into tasks. Choose a small one to start with.
Write and review code
Use Git branches and pull requests to share your changes. Teammates review the code and help with problems.
Test and demo
Test your changes and demonstrate how they work. Use feedback to fix bugs and decide what to work on next.
Working together
Write code other members can understand, test your changes and ask for a review. Share what you know, listen to other ideas and be patient with people who are learning.
Your pull requests, demos and completed features are a record of what you’ve worked on.
Git setupWe’ll help you set up Git, run the project and open your first pull request.
